Jessica Aelick, Principal Psychotherapist for Grace & Growth, seated in a cozy tan armchair. She is wearing a cream-colored knit sweater and black pants, with her chin resting gently on her hand. Jessica has long, light brown hair and a warm, approachable expression, set against a softly lit, neutral background.

My name is Jessica (Jess), a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario. My commitment to grief support stems not only from my professional training but also from my own lived experiences with loss. These experiences have taught me the importance of having a compassionate, understanding presence during life’s most difficult times.

The practice name came to be as I reflected on the principles that I wanted to guide my approach to grief support. Grace reminds us to cultivate compassion for ourselves during times of hardship, recognizing that grief is not something to 'get over' and cannot be hurried through. Growth signifies the courage to adapt, learn, and transform even in the face of profound loss.

Of course, grief is a deeply personal experience, and it looks different for everyone.

Together, we will create a space where your grief is acknowledged, your feelings honored, and your journey toward creating a 'new normal' can unfold at your own pace."
